=>Stay patient

=>Do not worry about the next panic cycle that might strike you sooner or later.Just let it happen and deal with the symptoms as they happen.Worrying about the next cycle will only create more confusion and a lot of worries.

=>Do not give up on the therapies – at some point of time [after attending 4 or 5 therapy sessions],you will feel that the therapies are not doing anything good for your disorder.It is wrong.Most people will think in the same way but it is a very bad idea to quit the therapies before they could instill something good in you.

You will not be able to stop worrying just because you tell your mind to do so.It will be next to impossible.The best thing you can do is to resort to the cognitive behavioral therapy.This therapy is capable of changing your negative thoughts and negative feelings.This would in turn result in changed behavior,probably eliminating the obsessive worries completely.

CBT aids in changing your negative thoughts and in turn your behavior.Whereas the exposure therapy is a little different.Some anxiety attacks sufferers will be avoiding certain events and places which they believe might be the cause for the next anxiety cycle.So this avoidance will do nothing to them other than causing them to avoid important events.As time passes by,they might even be just stuck to the home and go nowhere else.The exposure therapy will be useful in such a case.But if you do not seem to be in such a condition,then the exposure therapy is not needed for you.CBT will do the job alone.

Take it easy when your concentration hits an all-time low level

I wanted to add some more information to this topic and thought of making it as a separate article instead of updating it over there.

There are two things i want to stress here related to the lowered concentration levels due to the anxiety attacks:

1.If your sole intention is to bring back your concentration on the job and are working towards that way too much,the anxiety will only get super-sized.And there are higher chances of getting more frustrated if in case you are not able to concentrate no matter how hard you try.

This is the problem with most of the patients.You see,the intention to control the anxiety,the intention to seem normal – it just aggravates the condition.

If your sole intention is to bring back your concentration on the job and are working towards that way too much,the anxiety will only get super-sized

So what are the sufferers supposed to do?

Let it flow.Just let the symptoms flow.There is nothing to get depressed about or to be worried about.Take it easy !! This will be impossible during the initial stages but as you learn that your efforts to get back the normal life just result in zero results,you will yourself understand that it is high time you relaxed instead of trying so hard to become normal or get back anxiety-free life.Anxiety when it binds with your mind,it could be very hard to unbind [but very much possible to unbind provided your patience and persistence is involved at all times],

2.Instead of trying so hard to seem normal and focus 100% on the assigned task,you will enjoy more benefits if you spend little of your time on the therapy session.If you have already enrolled in a therapy and are doing just that,then that is fine, and i pat you for such an action.You have did something important that many people do not do or at least take a long time to do.

But if you have no belief in therapies and are of the opinion that medications and time are best healers of anxiety,please change your mind right now,or at least as soon as possible.This is never going to happen.Just time will not do the trick.It will not eliminate the anxiety.It will just add more frustration day in and day out as you find out that the anxiety does not seem to go out of your mind.

I know i might sound odd…….but this is the truth!

I know i might sound odd to some of you when i say that when you try too hard to get the anxiety out of you yourselves,it will be highly impossible.But this is what happens really.In most of the cases,it causes more frustration and more panic.The best thing you can do in such situations is to stay very calm,sit in a quiet place,analyze your thoughts,see what goes wrong,what really triggers the panic.

Knowing the trigger for the panic and knowing the root cause for the anxiety holds the key to the anxiety attacks cure.If you are not able to find those triggers yourselves,it is high time you considered the option of a therapist.The Therapist will hear you out as you list your thoughts before and during the panic cycles.This will help them big time to know the triggers.Once they get to know the triggers,they will work towards changing your thought patterns and eventually,your behavior is prone to change.This is the real cure for this mood disorder.Medications can help you too for dealing with the symptoms.They do work but the problem is that they are not the cure and also,most of them cause side effects and could be addictive too.

The best thing you can do in such situations is to stay very calm,sit in a quiet place,analyze your thoughts,see what goes wrong,what really triggers the panic.
